I'd say not... If you do go for a vehicle with 6,000 mi. on it, I'd be looking for more than $3,000 plus a little bit of a warranty extension. I know the SE invoices for about $32,200 depending on options. Take that minus the $5000 and you have $27,200 for a *new* SE.
The first 1600 mi. are critical - as noted in the owner's manual - and chances are the oil probably was not changed after the first 1000. Although the oil change is not mandatory, it depends on how you are about those things. It depends on how important those things are to you and whether or not you plan to keep the car.
Personally, I'd go for a new one... at least then you are confident that the break-in period was as it should be and you *know* how the car has been maintained.
