Sweden may be a "cold" country but Trollhatten is near enough to the west coast of Sweden to be in their "warm" zone. It may snow in Trollhatten but places like Chicago or Toronto have a colder winter. As for assembly in the winter months, I assume Saab heats the building so any fab quality issues in winter may be related more to seasonal depression in the workers due to the long, dark days. Either way, that doesn't excuse the fact that their QA didn't pick up the under-torqued bolts on my valve cover or those posted above by ed. Maybe Saab needs to give their people a 10-day stint in the Canary Islands sometime in February to keep morale up.
