I think that you have a T5 ECU, without an air mass meter, so you can get a significant improvement in power for $35 with a manual boost controller (MBC). You can get the K&N 33-2663 filter, mod your air box and throttle body transistion casting, remove turbo compressor discharge silencer, Saab Sports exhaust. All but the exhaust is DIY or cheap.
The ECU mod is better but at $550 and up it should be. So ECU mod or MBC, the other stuff needs to be done either way.
The ECU mods require sending your ECU to Europe. Not a simple chip. There has been talk about an ECU mod shop being set up in the East Coast. Nothing yet. You can do the MBC and do the ECU later on if you want. It is only $35, a cheap stepping stone or a satisfying end point for many.
