I've spent days getting a Neo 35 Car MP3 jukebox working in my 99 Viggen. See http://www.ssiamerica.com/products/neo35/
I'm using Clarion FM100s unit since I couldn't figure out how to tap into the CD-changer wiring the car came with. Biggest challenge so far is getting a clean and noise-free sound. It's still too noisy.
To install the converter you will need to buy two new antenna wire leads that will adapt the European to the US std connections as come with the FM100s. Buy the wires for a VW -- it's same as SAAB wiring. I got mine at Circuit City where they have a car audio install bay.
FM converter has on/off switch that I installed in SAAB switch plate on lower console (next to seat warmer button). I had to carefully drill and dremel tool the switch plate to fit the toggle switch that came with the FM100s.
I mounted the Neo 35 player unit on back of fold-down seat and ran power, ground, remote control, and RCA cables to console via sill plates and then under dash. I managed to break many of those flush snap-pins before I discovered that you push them IN to release them (duh).
I also installed a groud loop isolator in the RCA lines that go to the FM converter (from Radio Shack) and a 10AMP choke (also from Radio Shack) in the power circuit to the Neo35.
I'm still not happy with the system. Biggest issue is noise on signal that is steady hiss, independent of engine speed.
