The SE has 205 hp, the base 189hp. TheSE has all of the extra SID display , as well as the climate control is computerized. The SE comes with a Walnut dash , the base does not . The SE comes with auto seats (both)with memory , base just the driver (no memory) .The SE has bigger rims.. Otherwise the two cars are the same. I have a base 93 conv. with SE rims ( Igot as part of the deal added in free) . because when i test drove the SE i almost ran off the road trying to figure out how to adjust th climate control . I truly like having the turn wheels for my controls ,simple is better.AND most of all !!! I like my turbo better because it gives you longer torque time . were as the SE is more jumpier, (if you will.) When i press down the gas I love the smoother exceleration..
Trust me there is MORE than enough power on the base.Remember there is a speed limit and we can only drive so fast .. what ever your decision..
ENJOY!!~
