Big difference between concept and reality

No offense, but I've never had a vehicle wherein the cupholders did ALL of the work themselves. Quick turns, braking, potholes and speedbumps are all sometimes inevitable in normal daily driving. If your beverages are not completely secured within their containers, they're going to end up outside of the container. This is a FACT. The concept of the cupholder is simply convenience. It saves your crotch from the occasional burn or stain. It does not hold the liquid within an open container for you. If you would like to drink from a container that not only secures your beverages BUT also fits in the dash cupholder, beat-feet down your nearest Target or Wal-Mart and pick up a stainless steel/plastic travel mug which tapers at the bottom to fit most (if not all) cup holders. Travel mugs have a secured top that will prevent leakage.
