My '99 9/3 base is giving me reason to be concerned. only 45k miles on it, and recently, i'm noticing a very audible squeal from the front end of the car when i let the clutch out and proceed down the road. I took it to the dealer and they told me that it was something they had never heard before but were "convinced" it was something to do with the clutch, an item that is conviently not covered at this point by Saab waranty. I've tried to troubleshoot this, or pinpoint it to the clutch myself. I've stalled the car out by letting the clutch out while my foot was on the brake pedal. no noise. I should also state that I don't hear the noise if i rev the engine at or just below 2000 rpm's. Has anyone heard of this or had this happen to them? I'd love to avoid expensive exploratory surgery on my car if i can!! Thanks in advance for the responses!!!
