Just picked up my new 01 9-3SE conv with subj. color combo. I was skeptical after selecting this combo without seeing the colors together but I am now favorably impressed. There are some subtle gold hues in the steel grey and it goes together great. Up north a charcoal interior may be more appropriate/formal but in Florida the tan is most appropriate with SG.
Anyway after about 150 miles today just tooling around I notice the power seems lower than my 99 base so I think the engine is still very tight. The SE ride is a little harsher than my base conv but not uncomfortable. The sound system is MUCH better than the base. My '99 is an early 9-3 and while not unreliable some of the fit and finish was not up to what the new '01 is. The climate control knobs on the '01 seem to be OK from the factory unlike my '99.
No complaints as of yet....
