Hey,
You nailed it. I was a GM fan until I drove vehicles with sway bars and independent rear suspensions. I almost purchased a Grand Am GT a while back until I learned you could not get a 5spd. What a joke. This automotive giant needs to understand that if it wants to sell Metros and Cavaliers, it needs to produce low volume vehicles like SAABs and Cameros (sorry, not my fav machine, but it draws others to the brand). Niche vehicles are more necessary than the marketing and finance junkies think. Have a look at Nissan. They finally figured out that the lack of 300zx is killin' 'em. I would say the same about the Supra. Or maybe every make needs a turbo model.
Anyway, I really enjoyed the SAAB manual. It was a page turner. I enjoyed the extra tidbits that the SAAB folks added about the design of the car and it's functions. GM/Chrysler manual won't tell you the reason you may get radio interference or about DICE and TWICE which function without driver input or knowledge.
Later,
tony
