The car ('99 9-3) tied for 1st place in the UK auto club ownership of "most reliable cars" with two Nissans and another Japanese car, I forget which. Zero faults found. A perfect score after two years. The 9-5 was 3rd, grouped with another bunch of cars.
People in the know have found out there is a new 3 coming. This, plus the fact that GM was generous on price and financing means you have a lot to choose from. Again, the car writers have been less than generous with the stuff they publish on the 3.
A real Saab person knows value when they see it and this '99 deal of yours is excellent value. There is no catch. Just make sure you find out if the heater control box has been replaced. If not, work the temp knob hard until you break it before the warranty expires ;-)
