Saab did a mid-year change in 01 from 205/50/16 to 205/55/16. If your car is an early build it comes with 50 series. There is no problem upgrading to 55 series. Matter of fact, I had 205/50/16 and is now running 205/55/16 winter tires, absolutely no problem.
Your speedometer will be 3.4% slower and when it say 60 you are actually doing 62. If you want 100% accuracy, you can have your dealer to recalibrate the system.
