I'm glad someone brought up the whole child seat story.
I have an infant/child seat installed in the middle of the back seat in the rear-facing position for my 18lb daughter. The seat belts in my 9-3 are PERFECT for installing child seats because of the "locking" mechanism on the clasp (look for the red tab). This locking mechanism prevent the belt from loosening and creating the potential for delay in lockup in the event of an accident. I have installed car seats in about a half-a-dozen other cars (some of which were family cars), and have NEVER found a similar mechanism which surprised me.
When it comes time to flip the seat around after my daughter grows a bit more, I will use the same belt to secure the base and also use the top anchor along with a tether on the seat. The anchor is a loop that DOES NOT ship with the car. It is screwed into the back of the seat between the headrests and is supplied to you FREE from Saab just by calling the 8000 number (your local dealer will also install it for you for free . . . although it's obviously a very easy install).
If you intend to put a forward facing child seat in your car, get this anchor from Saab and get it installed. It's easy and free and will provide maximum safety for your loved one.
HTH,
