I have an '01 Viggen Convertible and absolutely love it.
PROS:
-head-turning looks
-unique (I have yet to see another Viggen convertible on the road in the DC Metro area) Unlike BMWs etc. Although I do see a few SEs.
-Fast, fast, fast AND FUN!
-9-3 Convertibles look better than 9-3 hatbacks IMHO. They look like they were designed as convertibles. Hatchbacks look fat in the back unlike cars with trunks. I know, I know, a lot of SAABers like the hatch as it's functional, but I think hatchbacks are fugly. I'd mutch rather have a trunk.
CONS:
-VERY hard to see out of the back with the top up, and I'm 6'1", so it's even harder for my wife
-Some cowl-shake on bad roads
-Can't take it through automatic car washes so you have to hand wash it, which I love to do, but it's hard to do in cold weather.
Those are just a few pros and cons.
I'm sure others will post some more.
