There are catches on either side of the rear seat that it connects to. You can adjust them so it's tight. I did that about 2yrs ago and it's been great since. If you put the seat down, you can see them close to where the rear speakers are. A torx wrench is needed for the bolts. Do it and you'll be happy. You can also put some grey carpet padding where the rear seat sits against the wheel wells in the back for more dampening.
If you have a 'ticking' noise, the seat bottoms' hinges may have loosened up. I put rubber washers between the connections. (Pain in the @#%#@ but worth it). I made the washers by cutting some rubber tubing.
