02 Road Trip Review

Just took my first road trip in my now 02 9-3. I was curious to see how it compared to my Nissan/Infiniti reference. If it is possible, I like the car even more. I went on 500 mile round trip combination state and interstate. The car is absolutely fun to drive. I averaged 32.5 mpg for the last 200 miles with keeping it under 75 mph (most of the way). Overtaking on the state highways is a breeze. You have to watch it though because before you know it, you're going 90 mph -- but I'd love to go faster! The seats are narrower than Infiniti's, but very comfortable and the ACC requires no fussing over. My only complain would be that you can't really fold down the rear seats and have the front seats comfortably positioned. The cup holder, which looks precarious, didn't spill a drop. The radio reception is as good as any I've owned and the quality is great. The SID is great for trips and the OnStar is pretty handy too, though I don't think I'll continue the full service at their rates. Absolutely no rattles or squeaks; the car is tight all over. Looks like the 9-3 was an excellent choice... now where else can I drive!
