Last year I got the opportunity to get in a few "hotlaps" at a track in Detroit. It is a small (1.5 mile) road course called Waterford Hills. I pumped the tires up to about 38 psi so the tires wouldn't roll over toooo much. It was a whole lot of fun. The car not only understeered going into the turns, but oversteered after getting into the turn. Ya just can't run at 110%.
There were only a couple of us on the track, so there weren't much in the way of rules. Most of the time at events like this Safety is #1. Ususally no passing is allowed except on straightaways. I have driven at events in Seattle & Portland International where you could only pass on the straight and the car being over taken had to either move over to the right or turn on their turn signal to indentify which side the over taking car should pass.
What sort of event and where are you going to have the FUN?
