I am in the same boat as you. My 99 9-3 lease will end in June and I have been debating as to what to do and what really makes sense. My buy out is higher than what the car is worth and I have been thinking whether it makes more sense to go and lease another one, especially considering the issues of warranty and whether I am going to keep the car for a long time. I think the answer to that question depends on what you can get the car for. The timing will be be great since there will be many Saabs coming off leases. You should be able get a good deal. I have seen in this market (S. Florida) ads for $299 for 36 months with $1500 out of pocket. Perhaps this will get even sweeter as our lease expiration gets closer. Plus you might get a Saab loyalty rebate as well as a new car and a new warranty, including all services to 36,000 miles. All for $12,000 + . Plus, you do not have to deal with all the depreciation b.s.. Again, it all depends on the price of the car. I would not get the new Saab 9-3 in the first year of production. I would wait for the second year.
