Climate Control Temp Sensor Inaccurate?

I purchased an 01 5dr Viggen this last December (2001). I am in Los Angeles and haven't had much need for the heater. However, there has been an evening or two when I've needed to "crank up the heat" in order to keep warm. When I set the Climate Control to 72 degrees and allowed enough time to pass it still felt as if it were only 64-66 degrees. I previously owned a '95 900 SE with Climate Control and that vehicle was very warm when set to 72 degrees. My guess is that the temperature sensor is not calibrated correctly or is faulty.
I referenced the manual and followed the procedure to recalibrate the Climate Control system to no avail. I plan to bring it in for service but haven't had an opportunity to spend 2-3 hours at the dealership. I have a job after all ;-)
Has anyone else had issues with the Climate Control in their '01 Saab?
