I just had an insurance estimate done on my SAAB today. As I explained in my earlier post, I was hit on my drivers side, btwn drivers side door and rear wheel. Basically the whole quarter panel should be replaced. But of course the insurance estimate only provides for the quarter panel to removed and repaired, i.e. pull the dent/out and repaint. Does this seem right? Does anyone have any knowledge of the body structure on the 1999 SAAB and how much it is compromised when dented, buckled and scratched? I have never had this kind of damage done to a car (hope to never have it happen again) and I don't want the body of the car compromised in any way. I found an autobody that was highly recommended by my dealer - I will be interested to get their opinion on this.
In the interim, if anyone has any advice on this subject, I would greatly appreciate it.
