Did You ever get a response about the automatic transmission DIY question?
Also is there a transmission filter and is it fiber of metal? Manual lists the maintenence.
Saab 9.3 Owner's Manual lists (page 204) need for Automatic Transmission Fluid Change at 60,000 (or 30, 60, 90k in certain use conditions {and clean transmission filter also}).
The manual 211th page lists ATF volume on changing as 3.4 qts but total fluid volume is 7.4 qts.
I asked saab USA customer service if they recommended filter changes and the popular flush/recycle, but unfortunately the email back was from someone that didn't know if there was a trans. filter. At about 2 weeks I'm still awaiting his tech backup. Surely someone in saab must know.
Anyone else have an opinion on FLUSH/RECYCLE for the Saab transmission of less than 100,000mi?
