Thanks to all who responded to my first post. I just stopped back in and was surprised to find so many responses - glad to see this board is active. As for my car, its been at the dealership now for 3 weeks. When I last heard from them - it took them 15 days to call me - they stated that Saab has looked at the car and has agreed to pay for half the damage. The dealer asked me to authorize $4,400 for the repairs.

Hearing this, I called Saab's Customer Assistance hotline and they put me on hold and called the dealer. When the rep came back on the phone, she stated that she couldn't go above the dealer's head and recommended that I call the dealer and ask the service manager to set up an appointment with the regional person from Saab. I did this on Wednesday and have not yet heard back from them. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again for the responses.
