Since I have the no charge maintenance I opted to go with 5W30 Mobil1 at the 5K mile mark, which is same weight as Saab will use when changing at 10K (tho theirs is semi-synth and Mobil if full synth). At the very least I would use a semi-synthetic, either Mobil or Castrol or Saab.
As for the filter I also opted for the PF53 which I think is a quality product. However the latest filters are made in USA whereas the previous version was made in England (same as the Saab piece). I don't know exactly what the filter differences are. If I were to go the full 10K between changes I would probably go for a Gold series AC filter or the mobil1 filter with the synthetic media.
In general I would stay away from a Fram filter or off brands, unless you know their source.
