Edmonds lists the market value for a loaded 9-3SE 5 speed as $27,711 and for a comparable 325i possibly as high as $35,345 (I'm not sure what comes with BMW's premium package). Then you have to consider that the interest rate on a Saab lease is .0785. I just had an offer this week for $26,226 and I see that Mike (above post) got one for $25,500.
Then there are these numbers at IIHS: 58 for the 9-3 and 76 for the 325 which is going from much safer than average to simply safer than average (average is 100).
The smart move with Saab unless you are going to have the car for 7 or 8 years is to lease not buy because of Saab's depreciation.
