The NG900 used a Clarion head unit and changer that communicated over one kind of bus, but the 9-3 uses a Pioneer head unit and changer that are tied more closely into the Saab theft protection system. You can plug it in using the connector hidden behind the carpeting in the hatch (near the antenna), but as JerryC says, it will not work until a Saab mechanic uses the Tech II to "marry" the changer to the head unit and the Saab's theft protection system. This takes all of about 2 minutes. Once it is done, the changer can only be used with that 9-3 until is "divorced" from the car using the Tech II.
