I've known people with Honda's

that have had problems as well. Especially back in the early 90's when they began building the Honda's here. Plus, have you been to Edmunds.com and see the problems with the early V6 auto transmissions? Mazda's are Fords, so wouldn't buy one of those, since I'm not a Ford fan. Toyotas, save for the Supra, are pretty boring (this especially applies to the Hondas). Acura's and Lexi are so passe, everyone expects you to buy those, plus even the 260hp CL TypeS has problems keeping up with a 200hp turbo SAAB. Hopefully the 6spd will give it a little more umph. The only japanese company that I would consider buying a sedan from is Nissan/Infiniti simply because they don't have the boring image associated with their cars. I even regret to inform people here that I am buying a 1990 Honda Accord from my grandmother out of necessity for good car at a low cost, but I would never buy one new simply because they don't fit my taste and I don't believe they are as reliable as everyone believes. The point is, if you wanted a boring rock solid car, why did you buy the SAAB in the first place. You can't get something for nothing. If you want the excitement of the SAAB, you have to put up with the maintenance headaches. If you want the "bullet proof" reliability of a Honda, you have to put up with the boredom. When's the last time you got excited about a Honda? the S2000 maybe?
