Loaner cars are used by those of us with our everyday Saabs in for service.
I have a 2001 Viggen w/ about 12k on it and between normal service and
a few small warranty repairs I've probably driven 4 different 9-3 loaners in the past year. They have all had less than 3k on the odometer. I will tell you even though the rear headrests are still wrapped in protective plastic the interior of each car was generally well lived-in.
Personally, I try my hardest to be gentle when driving these loaners, but I have been very impressed with the acceleration of the automatic and equally so with the braking capability of the se on an occasional off-ramp or two or three. Get the idea. These cars are not driven with all the TLC that one might use if it were his/her new 93. Especially during the break-in period. Do yourself a favor and find a new model that you alone will drive. Good luck!
