Ed,
This is a great dialogue. I do agree with you in the fact that if are driving more than 15k miles a year, you should buy the car. All, I am saying is that Saab is currently offering a leasing deal that is really hard to beat. Your basically driving an excellent luxury and expensive car for about anywhere around $300 to $350 a month. It is hard to beat. If soomebody is going to buy a use 99 9-3 for anywhere between $13,000 to $15,000, they might better off leasing a new 9-3 for very little money and at the end of the lease you can buy the car for around $13,000. In the mean time you have all your warranties. You have been the one driving the car form 0 miles on, and it is like getting a loan at 0%. In the mena time your hard earned money will be sitting in the back getting interest and making money, etc, etc. You have some great valid points and I do agree with you in many of them, but I think that the way Saab is pricing these vehicles, leasing them is the way to go. This might not apply to othere cars nor everybody.
