hi
i am thinking of buying some wheel spacers for my '98 saab 9-3 with the new 17" aero rims. Went to a local tyre shop and they said this could be easely done. he also said that there are 2 systems
first is just a spacer with longer bolts and the second system is a spacer with 10 holes. 5 to secure the spacer to the car and 5 to secure the wheel to the spacer.
the guy at the shop recommended me the second system and told me to take spacers with a thickness of 20mm (coz there is enough space).he is asking 200$ for the rear axle.
Now my questions are : has anybody on the board tried this? and if yes are you satisfied and which system did you use? also how thick was the spacer?
do they rub? or will they rub if i take the 20mm spacers?
many thanks to all those who take the effort to respond
marc
