Arggh - Need help with Viggen dent

On Saturday, after an enjoyable drive alongside Lake Michigan, I was pulling my brand new (2001 - 2.5K miles) Viggen into the underground garage. Another car had just come out, and as I was pulling through the opening, the garage door began to come down. Frantically pressing the button on the door remote control had no effect, and there was no time to get through or back out. Next thing you know, the garage door is resting on my hood. After much swearing, I park the car and inspect the hood. At first glance, no damage. But upon closer scrutiny, I see an almost imperceptible dent, about 7 inches long, on the front passenger side corner of the hood. The dent is very narrow, and almost invisible... you almost have to run your hand over the shhet metal to feel it.
But I know it's there, and it is driving me crazy!! Can I get a dent like this fixed without replacing the entire hood? And if so, how much should such a repair cost?
Thanks much for any help.
Will
