On my dodge, I've put 215/60r15 (dunlop d60a2's) on 6" rims where 195/65r15 (michelin mvx4's) were stock. To this point, I've gotten 10,000 more miles out of the new tires with much more straight line and corner grip and probably at least 5000 more miles to go. The only negatives were a small bit of initial rubbing at full lock on the plastic wheel well and the center is wearing a bit more than the corners. I can attribute this to either the oversized tire on the rim or the center tending to wear more from hard starts, which is more a rule than the exception for me, or a combination of both.
This situation I can very much live with on the SAAB with 225's The 225/50r16 in v spec or great rating is a common tire size. I am trilled with the dulops on the dodge and will probably shoot for the SP Sport 5000 Asymmetrical.
Later,
tony
