It could be that you are getting seepage when the expansion rates of the Al head and iron block are different; that is, during warm-up and cool-down. Once everything is nice and warm, if you don't see seepage you are probably OK. I had a VW Wasserboxer van one time that would leak a noticeable puddle under one head overnight; but once it was warmed up there was no leakage externally and nothing noticable internally (compression and pressure tests, etc.). It also sounds about like the amount of seepage I have out of 2.3l. I've run mine like this for trips that have seen nearly 18+ hours of continously operation (minus gas stops) with no problems (or seepage). You might try a bottle of Bar's Leak since this sounds like a fairly minor problem.
