Hi all,
I've been looking for a new (used) car recently and I keep coming back to the 9000 Aero or 900T convertible. I've had a number of Saabs in the past (all 9000) and I am pretty committed to the name but I've never had a convertible before. I'm curious about any comments people have on the 900, like I've heard that the steering isn't that great compaired to the 9000 but I haven't had a good test drive yet to form an opinion (just low speeds on local roads) and I have alot of concerns about the soft top.
I live in CT and I'm worried about driving it all year since I won't be able to afford to keep it as a summer only car. I was hoping to hear some emperical evidence on people's experiences with them in bad weather and at about what age they usually need to be replaced? Also is the replacement something that I could handle myself? I'm pretty handy and managed to get through college and grad school doing most of my own repairs and maintainence...
My last concern is weither people had problems with break-ins and vandalism? There seems to be something about a soft-top that attracts this kind of thing. I live in the middle of the city so it worries me a bit too. Thanks for any advice!
Tim
