Cheap spoiler paint

Ok, we have had our 9-3 5 door 1 month and I have an issue with the paint on the rear spoiler. Within the first week I noticed a chip out of the paint. I'm guessing it came from either mine or my wife's wedding ring when we were shutting the hatch. Today I'm loading my wife's luggage in the back and I had the hatch open in the garage. Now the hatch doesn't open all the way because of the door and I always open it slowly and rest the hatch against the wood door. Most times I will put a rag up there so it won't rub. As I'm loading the luggage in I slam my head into the locking latch (good thing they have a little rubber over the metal). After rubbing my head, I am even more disgusted when I shut the hatch there is another chip in the paint. Now I realize the paint didn't just come off by itself, but what happened to making stuff durable, especially parts that are going to take some abuse. Anyways I just needed to vent and will be talking to my dealer this week when I take it in for the 30 days.
