Towing small loads, e.g., motorcycle trailers ???

I have a friend who likes sporty cars, needs some cargo capability, and also wants to be able to tow her sport bike on trips. She very much likes the way my 900T drives, thinks the cargo space is sufficient, and would want a newer one.
I expect that towing a small trailer (750-1000 pound total, maybe 150# tounge weight) would work well, and be within the capabilities of the car. But, I've never done it.
Does anyone have any experience with this, and/or any recommendations?
Thanks In Advance...
Jim!
