Hey!
Sorry to hear about the wheels - it happens to us all and it is annoying. Many of the new performance tires, such as the Dunlop SP series have extended sidewall flanges to help protect the wheel "lips". Chances are, the cost of repair will be $150-200. The wheel is checked and straightened, blasted and repainted - there is no middle ground with most wheel repair houses (Rim and Wheel Works, Acker Wheels, etc.). I have used them on occasion for pothole damage. You might consider aftermarket wheels, which will cost 1/2 the price with the same safety rating, for use on your summer tires - and the stock wheels for winter.
Alternatively, you could "repair" the cosmetic damage yourself. Wheel cleaner to get the grunge out...cleaner wax, or touch-up paint as well. However, you have damages the clear coat - so oxidation is just a few weeks away. My winter wheels have some gouges and I treat them with the "more Shine Less Time" from Stoner spray that I use on the tires. It helps protect the wheels from from road salt and the scratches "blend-in" better.
Good luck
eric
