To make a long story short, my local Saab dealer (Brown Saab in Charlottesville, VA) gave me 1000X better service than International Motors up in Falls Church (who refused to change my HG).
1. Brown was kind, courteous, and prompt with return phone calls from the getgo.
2. Set me up with a convenient day/time.
3. Provided me with an '02 9-5 loaner (nice, but I like my 9-3 better now)
4. Performed the pressure test ... immediately concluded I had a leaky head gasket.
5. Changed the head gasket, and related (thermostat?).
6. Returned the car to me 2 days later, washed and good as (better?) than new.
7. 100% warranty covered.
It's been about 1k miles with the new head gasket. So far so good with moderate / aggressive driving. I was waiting to see if things held together, and that I lost no coolant after around 1k.
Chalk one up for the local (and yes - very good) old boys.
