I have a '00 9-3SE, and in the early winter of '01 I hit a pothole here in the Boston area that was deep and large enough to tear up the tire and obviously cause a flat (also bending the rim). The wheel was the front left one. They fixed the rim somehow and then replaced the tire with one like all the rest of them.

Now fast fowards up to today and I was walking by my car with one of my coworkers, talking about how the steering feels loose and is creaking, and he noticed that the front right tire is worn down very low - all the way to the wear indicators (perhaps further if they too are worn). The strange thing is, the other 3 are *nowhere* near close to the wear indicators - they have what looks to be a lot more wear on them left.

(also perhaps taking into account that this is a lease that gets turned in Feb of '03)
So a few questions that come about:
1) is it bad to just replace that one worn tire? or should I go ahead and replace all 4?

2) how did just that tire become low and the rest are unphased.

3) if I get all 4 at tirerack.com, then 4 205/50WR16 Kumho ECSTA Supra 712 are ~$350 with shipping. Where as if I get 1 Michelin Pilot HX MXM like what are on there now, that costs over $150 - so I save, but it seems odd to get just one (perhaps doesn't matter since they just need to make it to Feb of next year). I know the Kumhos aren't supposed to be so hot in snow, but neither were the Pilots that I had, so I figure I'll take the chance and get snow tires later if need be (I'm not sure I will be driving as much in the winter since I'm trying to change jobs right now).

Also, if you happened to read this far...
1) have a small ding on the right rear wheel well that is starting to rust (the size of my pinky nail) - how expensive is that to fix, and is it something I could do, or is that a shop only thing?

2) the suspension creaks on every turn and feels looser than usual - the roads here are totally screwed up right now, many huge bumps and potholes - so I'm sure the suspension has taken an extreme beating...
is that something I should have looked at right away, or could it wait a few months (my 30K check up is 3K miles away and I put on about 200 a week).

thanks in advance for any and all help/suggestions/comments/flames :)
