I use the 2 man bleed system, where the bleed bolt is seated and then the petal is allowed to come up. With vigorous petal down strokes the bleeding will overcome and air in the lines. The flow should be violent, adn noisy!
And with the two man bleed system and a clear vinyl tube, there is a lot to see that I would not want to miss with a one man brake bleed kit.
You can also open the bleed bolt and then force the caliper pistons back. That migth move any air that is reluctant to move otherwise. With new calipers on the rear I did a lot of bleeding and used most of a liter all around.
I am suspicions of one man bleeder kits with check valves, as the bleed bolts leak around the bolt's threads. I don'k know if these come with somthing to overcome that effect, never used such gear myself.
Remember to put a block of wood behind the B petal to keep the petal from going to the floor. That can stroke the master cylinder cups over parts of the master cyliner bore that are seldom traveled. Corrosion on those spots of the bore can cut the rubber cups and often enough, after bake bleed work, master cylnder failure is a common event.
Before bleeding the brakes, replace as muc fluid at the MC with new, to avoid pumping that stuff through the system. The only point for moisture to get into the system is at the MC. So that is the most contaminated! I change the fluid every year at least to remove that contaminated fluid. That will greatly extend the life of the MC. A mini bleed if you will...
If the reservoir goes dry during a bleed and air gets into the anti lock brake pump assy, bleeding might be quite difficult. So be sure to avoid that.
