Like you, I had read that it was OK to put the Zaino polish on the black trim because since it is polymer-based it would not leave white marks like regular wax. Well, I found that while it was not as pronounced as it would have been with wax, It still left some white discoloration on black trim, especially on the back bumper trim and side door trim. In the future I plan to be careful and avoid putting it on the trim.
