Follow Dean's advice first & just pump up the pedal to push the pistons back to the pads, if it's just that the piston has bottomed out, then that will fix it.
The brakes will be a little spongy for the first 100 miles 'till the pads bed in, but the pedal shouldn't go to the floor in a scary way.
I had a similar problem with my first brake job on my 9-5. Pedal would sink to the floor and not come up unless pumped. Worked out I'd installed the pad retainer springs on the outboard side of the caliper incorrectly. The spring was actually pushing the caliper apart.
I don't have a digital camera, so I can't send pix quickly, but if you think that's the problem, email me and I'll try to describe what it should look like.
