There are 1000 things that can cause creaking/rattling in your 9-3.
Unfortunately for you, most of them will be in the back of the car.
This post won't offer you any hints or solutions, but just to pass on that I waxed my car today (Zaino is truely amazing btw!), and noticed a "worn" piece of material at the rear wheel well that can only happen if it "moved" up and down, scraping the upper piece. The scary thing is that the mark is 1/2" long, meaning certain "sections" at the rear wheel well was moving that much vertically against another "section". I wonder why I even try to track down all the creaks and rattles.. Oh well... I'll be putting my SAS Sway Bar next weekend. I guess I should expect to turn up the radio even more...
When the 9-3 was designed, did the engineer consider that drivers need a rear end? Or was it an afterthought?!
I found it quite funny, as I read another message here just now that said the 9-3 rear end felt like it was held on by a few screws.. (not 3/8 grade 8 I bet! ;-)
What was even funnier was another post that said the new Huyndai Sonnata looks just like the 9-3 and it will sell very well. (It'll probably sell well EVEN if it look like the 9-3.)
