I have had one for 2 years now and the difference to spool up and throttle response is amazing. But it is really important to clean this very regularly. 2 reasons for this part of the extra UUMPH is due to less filter ability, so if it is dirty ie the pores blocked the air flow is greatly reduced this will slowly and often un-noticed reduce the gains, but more importantly it will allow a much larger quantity of dirt into the system this can cause damage to the whole system so be warned.
Also make sure anyone carrying out a service has the correct cleaning fluid for the filter and knows that the filter does not need to be replaced. I know a few people who had their's thrown away and replaced with a stock filter despite the nice little sticker on the air box.
Enjoy and try looking at the Abbott air intake pipe this is expensive at about $450 but will really give a much bigger gain than what you already have ie spool up and throttle response. It will, when combined with the exhaust and filter greatly reduce the turbo lag compared to a stock car.
It does not make too much difference to HP only about a 10 hp gain but HP is only half the story, faster spool up is more important than HP gain. You get where you are going faster, because you get to max HP that much quicker than before!!
