I'm almost embarassed to ask this question - but - can I take my '99 SE Covnertible to one of those hand car wash places? I realize I shouldn't take it through an auto car wash place (with the machines), but a hand wash seems harmless enough (here in CA, there are places where the car moves along a belt, and people scrub and rinse it as it passes by; yes, I'm sure they have these in other states too!). I know the best thing is probably for me to wash it myself, but I know I won't be able to do that regularly.
Also, any tips for taking care of the top? I've been reading the posts and I read my user manual. Just wondered if there were extra helpful hints. Like is it wrong of me to raise and lower the top every day (to/from work)? I feel like I'm gonna break it (no rational reason, just me being paranoid). What about leaving the top down during the day? Is that bad? I usually put it up to avoid sun damage to the interior. Last but not least, any tips for taking care of the leather? (My history is VWs and cloth seats.) :)
Thanks!
