I have a 1999 9-3S with a large list of mods. I have a custom programmed Hirsch ECU upgrade. I added a Aquamist System 1s to my car about 4 months ago. I chose to add it to help boost hot weather performance. It seems that it helps on even 75-80F degree days. I also experimented with a mbc added to the upgraded ECU to see how high the boost cut was raised to and also to see or better feel how much more power I could still get. I was able to run basically full red zone boost before getting the fuel cut and I had the water injection running to help keep the high in-cylinder temps and therefore detonation in check.

I had to install my water jet after the intake temps sensor due to the sensor being an open element type. Brad at KC Saab instructed me to do this since the water eventually causes the sensor to go defective. He did mention that there are closed element types. I hope to eventually get one of these so that I can install the jet just after the IC and get the better cooling effects by having the water injected into the system earlier.

My next project, which I hope to finish in the next month or so is to install a proper boost gauge and an EGT gauge so I can more accurately see what is all going on with my engine.

What other upgrades do you have? What year and model?

Have fun!
