In May of this year, I shipped my US spec '00 93 from England to the US as part of the SAAB military sales program. Everything seemed fine until, while driving to my husband's next duty station, I encountered a pretty heavy downpour. Water came pouring out of the light console between the two visors. Initially, I thought that I was at fault for not correctly closing the sunroof. However, the second and third time the leak occured, I knew that something was wrong.
This NEVER happened while we drove the car in the UK - where, this spring, it rained for about six straight weeks. And, I might add, the car was not garaged.
The thought that the car was damaged in transit certainly crossed my mind.
In June, I took the car to my closest dealer. They checked out the drains, seals, etc and could find nothing wrong. Said that a SAAB regional rep, who still hasn't come to town, must look over the problem. Sounds kinda odd to me, but I'm living in the SAAB boonies and don't have a whole lot of choices for service.
Darned good thing we've had only two thunderstorms in the past eight weeks!
Any and all advice would be GREATLY appreciated.
