Drove from Atlanta up to Highlands, NC on Labor Day for a few days of hiking and rafting on the Nantahala. On the road from Dillard, GA up to Highlands (Hwy 246 in GA, changes to 106 in NC) the Viggen had me grinning ear-to-ear, especially going up the part that is a 10% grade. In 9 months of ownership this was really the first time I've had the chance to throw it around some tight twisty roads at speed. My car is still stock as far as suspension goes, so I can only imagine what the car would be like with the rescue kit installed.
If you live in the area I suggest this drive, or if you are here for the Viggen Flight Academy, you are only a short drive away from this sort of fun. I don't have a radar detector but it might not be a bad idea as I did have to hit the brakes quickly on the way down yesterday for a cop posted by the side of the road with a gun.
Oh, and the scenery is amazing as well! If you have time, hunt down the Whiteside Mountain trail (see link below - 10 minutes on the other side of Highlands on Hwy 64 towards Cashiers), hike the 2 mile loop which takes you up to the ridge where, if you are lucky, you will see peregrine falcons circling overhead, and a great view of the mountains as far as the eye can see. A short 2.5 hours from Atlanta.
