Hello, all...Yes it is me ..AGAIN!! As you all know, I own a 1998 900SE automatic....I LOVE to drive a 5-speed , but, I hate the dead pedal in the 9-3's...HOWEVER!!! It appears that test driving 9-3's is similar to trying on clothes...They ALL seem to fit differently even tho they are the same yr/make.

ANYWAY!! I have been looking at 1999 9-3SE's, since they are going on four yrs old, and are pretty cheap. Since there is only one yrs diference between my car and the 1999 9-3...is it really that much of a better car than my '98 SE?

Should I be looking at buying a younger one, like a 2000 9-3SE?

The 2000 is about all I could afford, but have read posts that I should buy a Saab one yr younger than I can afford, to cover expenses that may pop up on the older one...

I just want to hear as many opinions as I can get.

And, since there is almost NO room in the foot well becasue of the dead pedal anyway, I am ONLY searching for 5-speeds....that also helps me if I end up with a 1999 SE cause the 5-speeds were the HOT engines.
