who to the best of my knowledge are preparing upgrades for the new 9-3:
1) abbott racing http://www.abbottracing.com
2) Hirsch Tuning http://www.hirsch-performance.ch
Abbott are a well established Saab specialist from the UK.
Hirsch are a division of a Swiss dealer group specialising in Saab. A co-operation was announced at the Geneva Motorshow earlier this year whereby Hirsch would develop performance enhancements for the factory in Sweden. At a pre-launch test drive of the new 9-3 which I attended here in Germany a couple of weeks ago there was some uncertainty in how far Hirsch modifications, as opposed to Hirsch developed factory modifications, are viewed as factory approved!
On another note, after driving the new 9-3, the chassis in its standard form is, in my opinion, superior to that of the B6 Audi A4. I did find a couple of things which I found inferior to the Audi as well as many things which I found superior, but I will let you make your own opinion. I myself will wait and see what the Wagon version is like when it comes in 2004.
