If you use the celsius scale, not only do you gain an appreciation for the way the rest of the world perceives temperature (it's actually really easy to adjust...40 is the blazes of hell, 30 is hot, 20 is comfy, 10 is a little chilly, 0 is cold), but if you have automatic climate control, you also gain improved resolution on your temperature control! If you're in fahrenheit units, you can only control temp. in 2 degree increments... if you go to celsius, you get 1 degree increments, equal to 1.8 fahrenheit degrees!
The only gripe I have about switching the SID to celsius is that I no longer get my fuel economy numbers in miles per U.S. gallon. Your options are miles per imperial gallon (imperial gallons are bigger than U.S. gallons), or liters per 100km. I decided to again go with a more universal standard, and now read my fuel economy in L/100km (lower numbers are now better!) It's hard to explain to people here in the U.S. that 8 is a good number for fuel economy!
What I want to know is what messages does the SID give in different languages? I set my language to Svenska, but I never see any Swedish messages. :-(
