Well, many folks who have tried 'exotic' plugs a spent a bit bit more than the OEM plugs would cost, and later had those plugs foul up and misfire. Those fancy plugs are quiet expensive when they end up in a parts box or the trash.
The Saab direct ignition system does not have a knock sensor. Knock is controlled by monitorng the resistance across the spark plug gap. So do your self a favour and loose that attitude about the OEM NGK plugs. There are no plugs that have been shown to work better, let alone not screw things up.
Some Saabs come from the factory with a NGK platinum plug, but it has been found that the standard NGK ran better.
There is a NGK platinum plug (they make a few) that will work well. It is nothing really different than the standard run of the mill plugs, except for the center electrode. But given the cost, with annual regapping, you will need to get 4 or 5 years out of them to justify the cost. And you don't save any labor, as you have to remove, gap and replace, so same effort as fitting new plugs every year.
The Bosch plugs will create serious running problems.
If you want to spend some money to improve your vehicle, use Mobil One and better filters.
